WHS Carpentry Class doing Real-World construction!

Mr. Ryan Elder's Carpentry class out at WHS are redesigning the trash bin area (located between the school and the practice fields) for two purposes. First, one side will be for football equipment storage. Second, the other side will be for storage of maintenance equipment for the grounds crew. Students involved with the hands-on construction project are Jack Heimer, Jessie Morrison, Mitch Gould and Blaze Marshall. Be the hammer gentlemen!! 

 

 

NEW TRACK looking good!

The new track project began after school was out this past Spring and as of the middle of October, the project is nearly complete. The final markings have been applied, they need to cure for a week or so and then we just await the arrival of TRACK SEASON in the Spring! (It'll be here before you know it!)

The WHS Drama Dept. presents "FOOLS" by Neil Simon!

I was privileged Thursday evening to sit in on a full dress rehearsal for the WHS Drama Department's upcoming Neil Simon production - "FOOLS". The Fall 2017 offering under the direction of first year Drama Instructor Jessica Coldwell is just absolutely superb. The stage setup, the costumes, the make-up, the sound, the special effects, the lighting, the stage crew and of course the actors and actresses nail it!

"MUM'S" the word in WHS Horticulture Class!

Four of the boys from the Horticulture class planted mums in the raised bed that was built by the Advanced Ag Welding students last year.  On one side the bed says Horticulture and the other side reads WHS with two Crusader heads on it.  The fall mums will help to brighten up the building as you come in.  The other students in the horticulture class were busy pulling weeds and getting the greenhouse ready for the spring.
