If you haven't driven by the TENNIS COURTS on 9th Street lately, a pavilion has been added on the east side, with RED benches and tables. Very nice! My understanding is the Crusader Booster Club played a big part in this project. KUDOS to them!!
Drivers Education, after a later start than usual (due to COVID GUIDELINES, etc), will wrap up a week from this Friday. All totaled, 3 different classes have been meeting daily since June 29th. The link below are some pics taken on 070820 as students practiced different parking techniques in the WHS parking lot. How would you like to learn to back into a parking place along a curb, driving the Queen Elizabeth? (I mean suburban) :) Not an easy task but doable!
WHS had a “FRESHMAN” enter an essay contest put on by the KANSAS BUSINESS HALL of FAME (KBHF). There were 98 entries from across the State. The “3” Top Winners state-wide were:
*Shea Inlow – Sophomore from Sedgwick HS
*Emma Elder – Senior from Nemaha Central HS ….and drum roll please
*Taylon Ellis – FRESHMAN from Wellington HS!!!!!!!!
