Austin x 2 x 3 x 4A State Debate!

Austin Harriger and Austin Fink, for the 3rd year in a row, will be heading to the State 4A Debate Tournament in Ft. Scott tomorrow and Saturday. A sendoff was held today at WHS for the pair and their spares, Lizzie Harriger and Philip Starnes. We wish them all the best and appreciate greatly their awesome representation over the years. GO BIG RED!!!

Laptop APPS Now Available - Deadline Feb. 3, 2020!

Attention WHS Class of 2020! If you are planning on continuing your education at an accredited post-secondary institution or planning on acquiring vocational training beginning this Fall (2020), stop by the WHS Guidance Office and pick up a Crusader Website Chromebook Give-A-Way Application, fill it out and get it signed, then return it to the Guidance Office no later than Feb. 3, 2020.

WHS FFA Visits Wellington Food Bank

The Wellington FFA Chapter took more eggs to the Wellington Food Bank on Friday before the holidays.  The Chapter has donated 22 dozen eggs this fall.  The chickens the chapter is raising have begun production and will continue well into 2020.  Students are cleaning and grading eggs before they go to the food bank.  Eggs have also been donated to the High School and are being used by the kitchen staff in preparing meals for students.  

Senior Brittney Bentz Semi-Finalist for DSI @ WSU!

CONGRATULATIONS to WHS Senior Brittney Bentz who was picked as a semi-finalist in the DSI Scholarship competition at Wichita State University!

The Distinguished Scholarship Invitational, or DSI, is a $64,000.00 scholarship provided to "3" incoming freshmen that plan to attend WSU! This year there were 656 contestants and out of that, 82 semi-finalists were chosen!

NHS Winter Formal - Nice Attendance & Seasonably Fun!

NHS Winter Formal Dance, in support of the Wellington Food Bank, had a nice size crowd turn up Friday evening for the 2 hour affair. Admission was $5 or "5" non-perishable food items to go to the Wellington Food Bank. A large pile of such items soon appeared. Christmas was in the air, participants danced and visited - all seemed to be having a great time! Just "2" weeks until Christmas / New Year's break! Study hard and good luck on your finals Crusaders!!
