The Eisenhower Eagles on Wednesday were greeted by some of Wellington's finest, first responders from both the Police and Fire Departments. The fan tunnel was setup with law enforcement automobiles nearby, lights flashing, American Flags flying with pride - great way to start the day.
Following their entrance, the students took part in a Character Counts assembly, featuring the first responders and also Mayor Shelley Hansel who spoke for a few minutes to the young Eagles about character and examples thereof. Soon, everyone was standing and together, sang our National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" written by Francis Scott Key.
The assembly wrapped up with the announcement of November's STUDENTS OF THE MONTH - those outstanding Eagles will be presented in another article later on featuring ALL OF THE STUDENTS OF THE MONTH from across the district for November...stay tuned for that - that's coming soon!
