What an "informative" and "fun" and "musical" and "athletic" and "get sprayed with water in the end" day it was at Lincoln Elementary on Friday. It was Career Day in the morning and several community members met with the LIncoln Patriots, sharing their expertise from a variety of occupations, hobbies or interests. After lunch, the CRUSADER BAND fired up all of their musical abilities and talents and entertained the students with several great numbers, under the direction of interim band director David Brody. That pumped up the Patriots, so outside they went to take part in this year's PATRIOT DASH!
PATRIOT DASH you ask? A fun obstacle course, requiring a good amount of exercise and smiles for the participants. Down the last stretch after all that exertion, the participants get a nice, cooling spray of water from Wellington's Fire Department's finest, who are on hand with one of their tanker trucks and hoses.
