Eisenhower Elementary observes this special day all week long with daily themes, etc. Today (Monday) was "Farmer's Day", quite appropriate for KANSAS DAY and as you can see in the photo!!

Eisenhower Music Program The Eisenhower 3rd and 4th grade Eagles held their Christmas Music Program Tuesday evening out at Wellington High School under the direction of Pamela Thompson. A variety of pieces were performed and enjoyed by the large crowd of family and friends whom were present. Click the link below for MORE concert photos!


IKE FOOD DRIVEEisenhower students and staff recently held a week long food drive for the Wellington Food Bank. The response from the Eisenhower families was unbelievable. The total amount of food items collected came to 1,434. The staff and students at IKE want to thank all that participated during this time of giving.

Eagle Detective Work Leads To Stolen Lunches! :)

IKE DETECTIVESEisenhower 4th graders (Mrs. Sawyer and Mrs. Elder) took a field trip downtown on Wednesday to the Wellington Police/Fire Departments. The trip was in conjunction with a book the EAGLES had recently read about a "kid" detective. Via rotation, the students worked with detectives, worked with firemen, solved puzzles, etc.

IKE RED RIBBON WEEKIt's RED RIBBON WEEK across the USD 353 district and on Tuesday, the EAGLES at Eisenhower reminded passerby's of just that with multiple signage and big smiles! In the past, the chain link fence at Eisenhower has been decorated with RED RIBBON WEEK MESSAGES but due to construction, this year's messages were LIVE & LOUD!

"INTEREST DAY" @ Eisenhower Elementary!

INTEREST DAY @ IKEFriday was the annual "INTEREST DAY" @ Eisenhower Elementary. Several hours are set aside and with assistance from folks in the community, the students rotate through "8" different stations and are exposed to a variety of expertise information presented by those same folks.


PIONEER DAY 091115Eisenhower Elementary's 3rd grades on Friday looked like the sound stage at "Little House On The Prairie" as Mrs. Jenkins' and Ms. Wencel's students went back in time - literally - to the days of Pioneers! From churning butter, to washing clothes (outside with washboards), to panning for awesome hands-on experience of "way back in the day"!

Eisenhower First Graders Honor Their Grandparents...

Grandparent's Day 091115The Eisenhower first graders held their annual Grandparent's Day on Friday in their respective classrooms. Brandy Wyckoff and Taylor Becker's first grade Eagles sang and entertained their elders, presented them with gifts and shared donuts and juice as photographers circled the classrooms for pics of this special event!
